Donny finally addressed his viral interaction with Kathryn Bernardo during the reception of Robi Domingo and Maiqui Pineda’s wedding
In a quite deceptive world of show business, finding good friends can be a little tricky for some. But surely, there are good ones around the industry, as proven by the friendship of Kathryn Bernardo and Donny Pangilinan.

After the wedding of host Robi Domingo and his long-term girlfriend, Maiqui Pineda, a short clip of the two actors went viral. While the A Very Good Girl lead was dancing with another guest, the Can’t Buy Me Love star offered her a drink. This caused an uproar of comments from netizens and their respective supporters alike, wondering if Donny was possibly more than just a friend to Kathryn, who is already separated from former on-screen partner and real-life boyfriend Daniel Padilla. A suitor, perhaps?

In a recent press conference of his newest film, GG or Good Game, the actor finally addressed the trending clip. Donny simply answered, “We had a great time. Lahat naman kami, friends sa showbiz, so binabantayan namin isa’t-isa. ‘Yun lang ‘yun.” Adding more, he also said, “Having peace of mind na friends kaming lahat and okay kami, enjoy namin ang trabaho namin, and that’s the most important thing.”
After fans of the two spotted the interaction of their idols, many of them raised the possibility of the actors working together in the future.
Both Donny and Kathryn further established their star status in the industry with their love team partners, Belle Mariano and Daniel Padilla. The four have even crossed paths in the past, with the two actors joining the Star Magic Games, whereas both actresses shot several commercials together. The most recent interaction of the pairings was last September, during the ABS-CBN Ball.
