The new collection
The designer’s next sartorial spectacle will focus on his ARC 02 collection. Dubbed the “Digital Oasis,” the highly anticipated showcase by .ARCHIVES is set to unveil a collection of 44 exquisite ensembles that promise to redefine the very essence of contemporary elegance. From the clean lines to the refined silhouettes, Ellis passionately declares that every look is meticulously crafted with utmost precision and unassuming allure that exhibits sophistication in its purest form.
Since its debut in 2022, .ARCHIVES has been the epitome of sartorial innovation because of its brave, boundary-pushing, and one-of-a-kind creations that weave together a captivating narrative. With their obvious commitment to defying conventions and liberating fashion from its traditional shackles, this brand just keeps on reinventing the very essence of style.
His creative motivations
Last March 2023, the masterpieces of .ARCHIVES graced the Rakuten Fashion Week in Japan. Their collection showcased at the PH Mode X TYO exhibition elicited resounding applause from the fascinated spectators, cementing their position as a sartorial force to be reckoned with in the realm of fashion. This momentous occasion, as Ellis deemed it, left a lasting impression on his distinctive style and innovative approach as a visionary designer.
“Japanese culture has largely influenced my work from the get-go. When Rakuten Fashion Week happened, I realized how Tokyo is so fast-paced and cosmopolitan. Because of that, I had a heightened awareness of how a body moves underneath different kinds of fabric. It’s like poetry in motion, and that plays a very important role in my research and development of pieces,” the designer expressed.
Success appears to have followed his collection exhibition in Japan. This young designer recently presented his capsule collection titled “Phases/Faces” at the Misibis Bay Resort last July 15. “I just want to preface that all my collections are deeply personal. For this show in Misibis, the visual references are heavily inspired by various people I’ve met in my life,” he said. “These people are like archetypes in themselves, and so each look is going to be based on several of them and codified from their attitudes and style. So the message I’m trying to convey is how these people influenced me into the person I am now, literally and figuratively,” he added.
Next week’s runway show
Ellis is curently getting ready to show off his latest collection next week. “We’re gearing up for our second main show in Manila on July 28, which will feature our take on Futurism and Primitivism. Aside from this, we have a lot of upcoming projects and collaborations in Q3 and Q4 of 2023. We can’t divulge the specific details yet, but we’re definitely excited and grateful,” he added.
With an innovative and forward-thinking outlook, the future of .ARCHIVES shines brilliantly as they continue to revolutionize the fashion scene, captivating audiences one show at a time.
