A particular kind of thinking and strongly held values have helped Gosiengfiao navigate her way to the top of her game—and remain there 20 years after she first came into the scene. Her true blue geekery, professionalism, openness to disruptive or potentially disruptive concepts, and—let’s be honest here—stunning looks—have made her a desirable personality to brands. One of these is realme, the smartphone brand that many in the industry are describing as a disruptor because it’s able to offer premium benefits and technical innovations without the hefty price tag associated with them.

For the uninitiated, realme struck the scene in 2018 and quickly made a name for itself by daring to give something that not many brands can: the chance for their consumers to experience top tier, cutting edge technology at a reasonable price point. It’s a bold move but they succeeded because like Gosiengfiao, they are the real thing. “Working with realme is such an honor for me,” says Gosiengfiao. “To see the brand grow and excel in the space at fairly a quick speed inspires me to keep on pushing forward and level up my game.” In their industries, passionate fans can easily sniff out a poser. But in their case, both have reached the top by disrupting the norm and being unapologetically real to themselves.

Okay, and they also both look gorgeous too.

“What I love about the company and the product is how it connects with the community. They truly see the value of these specific niches by helping and supporting them through the ease of connecting with each other despite distance. And I think this is very important especially in the trying times we are currently in,” offers Gosiengfiao.

On these pages, Gosiengfiao is holding the realme GT Master Edition, available in 8+128GB and 8+256GB variants. This sleek smartphone is shaking up the smartphone flagship category with its top tier offerings, including the Snapdragon 778G processor, Samsung Super AMOLED display, and 65W SuperDart Charge, all housed in a gorgeous and lightweight phone designed by Master Naoto Fukusawa, the noted Japanese designer whose works can be seen in brands such as MUJI, Alessi and more.

When asked how she chooses her endorsements and partnerships, Gosiengfiao says she looks for similar values, and the realme GT Master Edition is such. Not only are they both stacked in the capabilities and looks, but they’re also bent on giving the best tools to the youth, to the people next in line—the future game-changers themselves.

“I just want to leave a legacy…I wanna find more people like me, equip them with the right values or right mindset so that eventually when we’re gone, we can have a better world.”

“I actually mentioned this when I was 12 years old. I had, like, an interview also with, like, the Junior Inquirer and then I mentioned the same thing. Because, I mean, growing up, I’ve always been bullied for the stuff I love, and I don’t want na that state of mind to be the norm. I always wanted to have a safe haven for people like us, like, mga geeks. So, we’re trying to create a world that’s nicer to everyone.”

Not to mention a better world honestly. Many talk about how less than ideal childhoods have been the cause for so much grief upon reaching adulthood. But there are also times when challenges, terrible disruptions in fact, can instill a stronger sense of good in a person. Gosiengfiao is one such example: a person who has stuck to her passions, made a career—a life even—out of it, and in doing so has caused a lot of good. Indeed, she is proof that living out one’s “real me”—and doing so unapologetically—can pave the way to success. In a life that often feels like the pixels we see onscreen, she’s definitely winning. Is she really a dream girl? A very real one, yes.
