With a deep belief in the importance of beauty and wellness, Juju Glow joins this year’s BeautyCon to amplify the power of love and self-care that glows from the inside and out
From the triumphant wins of beauty queens to the brilliant talents of acclaimed celebrities, beauty has become an armor in showcasing one’s identity. Case in point: it’s the reflection of self-love that translates into confidence. And when we care for ourselves, we become whoever we want to be and thrive wherever we desire.
But sometimes, self-care doesn’t come easy, not when we all have our battles to fight. The good news is that we’re not alone in this challenging situation, and skincare brands like Juju Glow ensure we can get all the support we need. To further affirm their belief in the intertwining nature of beauty and wellness, the brand joined this year’s BeautyCon 2023: Beauty Beyond Boundaries, held last December 1 at the Palm Drive Activity Center, Glorietta 2 in Makati.
Going beyond boundaries
The MEGAStyle BeautyCon 2023 was all about going beyond, breaking free from the constraints of perfection, and embracing diversity and inclusivity. With a star-studded panel and guest list, the event welcomed a fun-filled day where beauty experts and inspos answered the most important questions.
For Juju Glow, the event was a glow-up celebration, highlighted by the panel discussion “Get in the Season of Glowing with Juju Glow.” The brand’s CEO and MEGAWoman Cover Star, Acee Sayson-Paita, distributor Kyna Aquino, and beauty influencer Hannah Alejandro took the stage to share everything about beauty.
“We’re going to start at the very foundation of everything beautiful: [the skin],” mentioned host, Beauty Queen Nicole Cordoves, in a long, sparkling pink skirt paired with a black bikini top.
As Juju Glow’s campaign was in the season of promoting glowing skin, the host was quick to ask the reason for this direction.
Before answering, Acee, dressed in a bright white halter dress, first defined what radiant and glowing skin meant. “Based on medical news today, radiant and glowing skin means that you have hydrated [skin]. When you say hydrated, it’s neither oily nor dry. It’s fairly even skin, regardless of the complexion.”
Radiant skin has been a long-time goal for many. But as time passed, people began associating this great skin glow with health. “If you’re healthy, of course, magre-reflect ‘yon—it radiates,” the CEO of Juju Glow pointed out.
Getting into it
During the talk, Nicole mentioned how women are go-getters now, meaning that skin can get tired easily. “It’s hard to sustain the glow because there are mornings when you just can’t feel that glow, no matter how much make-up or skincare you put on your face.”

“One specific product I would recommend is definitely the Freshies Melon Milk,” Hannah suggested, matching Acee’s radiance in an off-shoulder mini dress. “Aside from it having hydrolyzed collagen and the glutathione, I like that it’s a stress reliever and mood and focus enhancer. I strongly believe that when you’re stress-free, you glow.”
Unlike picking up a lipstick shade we’ve known for years, reaching out for a collagen drink isn’t a natural part of our routine or culture—it’s always skincare and make-up products. “I use it every morning, sinasabay ko siya sa breakfast ko, and it feels like I’m ready for the whole day. Mas focused ako sa tasks ko, so it really helped me to become stress-free,” Hannah said with a dazzling smile.
Nicole even mentioned how she could not take her eyes off her because Hannah just glowed. “Just wow!” she exclaimed, staring at her incredulously.
“Our tagline, freshness from within, nagagawa talaga niya,” Kyna quipped. “[Freshies] also has Lysine [a building block for protein] na nakakatulong talaga para ma-reach natin ‘yong deep sleep more quickly.”
She also talked about the testimonials of their consumers, where many of them experienced lesser cravings for sweets and how they don’t easily get hungry. Kyna explained that “Collagen is high in protein, so the more protein there is in drink or food, mas matagal natin mararamdaman [ang] gutom.”
Nicole considered this collagen drink a holistic approach as it starts from within. aAccording to Acee, the maximum time to take it is two sachets a day, regardless of the flavor. “The best time to take it is in the morning and then sa evening, kasi nakakatulong siya sa sleep. Syempre if good yung quality ng sleep mo, ‘pag gising mo, blooming ka rin.”
