When it comes to finding out if acting and being an entrepreneur can go hand in hand, these celebrity-entrepreneurs prove that it’s definitely possible. 

In the television and film ecosystem, actors focus on getting their work done by delivering the right lines and portraying their roles with as much integrity as possible. However, while these celebrities consider acting as their first or main occupations, some have also entered the world of business in the form of entrepreneurship. We’ve listed down the five celebrities that redefined their titles as brand CEOs.

Kim Chiu

Kim Chui began her showbiz stint after she joined Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Season 1, a reality show where she was hailed big winner. Since then, her career skyrocketed as an actress and host. This time around, Kim has decided to get into business as she recently launched her handbag line called House of Little Bunny PH. 

Kim’s new baby is a collection of small handbags described as “your everyday arm candy,” and it is filled with a variety of colors in pastels and neutrals. Moreover, its Timeless handbag is designed with the brand’s signature gold hardware, which can be seen as an iteration of bunny ears.

In her Instagram post, Kim mentioned that she has long been waiting for the chance to advertise a link in her bio to encourage her followers to shop. This just shows how significant this endeavor is to the actress-turned-businesswoman.

Elisse Joson

Elise Joson is surely a superwoman who could juggle many ventures—business, motherhood, and show business. She launched Felizia Jewelry last October 2021 with a luxurious range of designs from gold layered to earrings, and followed it up with heart-shaped pendants and couple rings in November. The brand also announced that they will be setting up a booth in Rockwell’s 2022 Christmas Pop up that will happen from October 22 to 23.

Anne Curtis

While ‘It-Girl’ turned ‘It-Mom’ Anne Curtis rose to stardom as an actress for film and TV, the noontime host and stylish icon now also spends time promoting her business ventures both in the world of fashion and beauty. 

Anne Curtis partnered with Isabelle Daza in launching their active and shapewear line called Recess. The story behind the brand founded by influential women aims to cater fellow women to own quality activewear for their daily workouts and errands. Their line includes a variety of designs that could fit everyone’s body type. 

Next up is BLK Cosmetics. Bringing on board beauty products with the benefits of skincare is Anne’s makeup brand. She mentioned in one of her interviews that she is the one responsible for social media promotion, and she also acts as the brand’s Creative Director. From launching their first collection of makeup products to bridal-themed lipsticks and eyeshadows, there is definitely something for everyone in BLK Cosmetics.

KC Concepcion

KC Concepcion has done far more than just acting in front of the cameras as she is also a brand CEO. The actress’ household surname did not stop her from proving herself in entertainment and fashion industries as she eventually launched Avec Moi by Kristina in 2018. The brand was seen in the fashion market as a luxurious start-up, where her independent spirit, artisan skills, and creativity are all showcased through each piece.

Julia Barretto

While Julia Barretto started as a child actor in several TV series, this does not entirely define the path she is taking in the business scene as the Expensive Candy lead star launched an online store called The Juju Club in 2021. 

Julia’s accessory brand offers a take on Y2K fashion that includes stylish sunnies, chunky rings, baseball caps, and bucket hats. In the brand’s Instagram page, it features a series of beach photos of Julia herself wearing a set of The Juju Club pieces amidst the summer heat. 

Since it started with Julia’s love for hair clamps and clips joined with her vision to bring pinterest aesthetics come to life, The Juju Club is continuously growing with a number of chic and vibrant designs that are guaranteed to affect you with “good juju wherever you go.”
