As they continue to empower women in whatever women do, Bumble Bizz has something bigger to offer women-led businesses across Asia Pacific. Apart from leading the women to take the first move in dating, friendship, and professional networking, Bumble Bizz opens its first regional competition to all its users.

Following its official entry to the Philippine market in March 2019, Bumble, the woman-first social networking app, which holds Bumble Date, Bumble BFF, and Bumble Bizz, has since gathered 1.2 billion women-led first moves from over 70 million registered users.

This has encouraged the app to cultivate women-led businesses, allowing them the opportunity to establish their companies through joining the Bumble Bizz competition. Aside from getting an award of $5000 grant, which will surely go a long way, the winner also gets a trip to Sydney to be part of the inaugural APAC Bumble Bizz Summit with Sunnies Creative Director and Co-founder, Martine Ho.

Bumble users are welcome to attend the inaugural APAC Bumble Bizz Summit that will take place on October 10, Thursday. Speakers from different parts of the world including Elle Ferguson, founder of the Elle Effect tanning range, Lana Wilkinson, celebrity stylist, and Roxy Jacenko, founder and director of Sweaty Betty PR and Ministry of Talent from Australia are attending the summit.

They are also having Lindsay Jang, founder of MISSBISH and Yardbird from Hong Kong, Liv Lo Golding, TV presenter and founder of Fitsphere from Singapore, Maggie Marilyn, fashion designer from New Zealand, and Malini Agarwal, founder of MissMalini Entertainment as speakers.

“In awarding the grants we’ll be looking for businesses that have a clear mission and aim to solve a real world problem,” said Michelle Battersby, Bumble APAC Marketing Director. “We’ll be asking applicants to show why their business exists, how it is currently funded, and how the grant will support further growth. For us at Bumble, this is about providing opportunities for women entrepreneurs and opening up more pathways to success for them, while also encouraging them to make the first move with their business ventures.”

Make sure to take down these important dates because Bumble Bizz is accepting applications only until 12 pm AEST on September 27, 2019, Friday, which is 10 am PST on the same day.

The competition will run in the six APAC markets where Bumble currently operates, namely Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong, India, New Zealand, and Singapore. Seems like it’s going to be a very tight match since only one from each of these countries gets to win the astonishing award.
