When the stars align, you can bet that Renz Pangilinan is the reason behind it and this is time we mean it literally. One of the top hairstylists of today, it was almost destiny when we got in touch with him in hopes that we could talk to him about his career and book him for a photoshoot with at least one of his muses.
But in true Renz style, he went big and checked off seven of his muses to stand alongside him including three of his beauty queen muses. Working his Midas touch on the tresses of his high-profile clientele, I was struck with the pro’s on-the-job approach–whether it be an effortless blow-out or a sculptural braid, he remained efficient and precise.
“You’re only as good as your last work,” he describes the dedication he has for the job.“I have a ton of ideas for future looks and it just depends on the shoot, model, and the event that I’m doing but I’m always ready.”
From creating Kylie Verzosa’s trademark straight and silky hair, the regal up-do for Pia Wurtzbach’s Miss Universe crowning moment and Megan Young’s effortless curls, Pangilinan has aced the hair look for a queen.
