After the success of their drama series Linlang, the actors are back to showcase a new side of their partnership with the Filipino adaptation of What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim. Leaving their darker characters behind, their new project will have a load of romance, comedy, and drama, making fans excited for their new sides. A wish come true for Paulo
Since his transfer to ABS-CBN in 2011, it has been the actor’s dream to work with Kim. In an interview during his contract signing with the network, Paulo expressed his intentions of wanting to be in a project with the actress. After more than a decade, his dream finally came true through Linlang. The bonus part is having to work with the actress-host back to back with their newest project.
A share of firsts together
If Juliana’s Linlang was a challenge for the It’s Showtime host because of her character’s cunning and manipulative nature, it’s now time for Paulo to discover his new side with What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim. The original Korean series features a male protagonist who naturally brings out humor through his personality, a turf that Chiu is more familiar with than Avelino. For sure, this will be another fun collaboration for the two, with the “Chinita Princess” leading their dance of romance this time around.
A balance of opposites
One look at the pairing and one may wonder why their chemistry works. While there are love teams who thrive because they are two peas in a pod, Paulo and Kim make their partnership work because they are opposites.
