Kim Seon Ho’s struggles has fans split; some still want to support him, while the other half feel betrayed
Kim Seon Ho has been hit with allegations of abuse, including a forced abortion, by an ex-girlfriend. The actor has since owned to this and, in a belated statement, issued an apology that has left fans and the public divided. This comes after his hit Netflix Korean series, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha ended on a high and set up the actor as a top leading man.
Last Oct 18, the name Kim Seon Ho trended on Twitter because of a blind item that pertains to “Actor K,” with a silhouette of a man that resembles the actor. In an online community platform, a woman claiming to be Actor K’s ex-girlfriend shared a lengthy post, stating that the actor, an ex-boyfriend, had persuaded her to get an abortion. She added that she was also the victim of physical and mental abuse from the actor. She stated that she was “not exposing him because of a bad breakup,” but as someone seeking an apology.
At that time, fans come together to protect the actor saying they will file charges against malicious rumors, but the actor and his agency, Salt Entertainment, remained silent.
This morning, social media awoke to the news of Kim Seon Ho and Salt’s official statements. Contrary to the hopes of fans that all of these aren’t true, Kim Seon Ho indirectly confirmed the allegations by releasing an apology letter to everyone, and to his ex-girlfriend as well. In his statement, Seon-ho addressed the rumors, admitting that the netizen was his ex-girlfriend. “I was seeing her with good emotions. In that process, I hurt her due to my carelessness and inconsiderate actions,” he stated.

This year, many celebrities from the Korean drama world to K-Pop stars faced a lot of scandals as well, many of them were also top tier artists. Many left their shows, and their K-Pop groups due to rumors of bullying, sexual harassment, and rude behavior. The aftermath
Because of the scandal, Kim Seon Ho’s advertisements had already withdrawn like Domino’s Pizza. This morning, KBS announced the departure of the actor from the variety show 2 Days And 1 Night, he was also removed from his two upcoming films, Dog Days and 2 O’Clock Date. As for the film Sad Tropics, which had been scheduled to begin filming in mid-November, has not reached a decision.
