Our Favorite Recipes From Erwan Heussaff

By

We’ve rounded up the easy chicken and fish recipes from Erwan Heussaff that we love and keep coming back to

In the over 10 years that Erwan Heussaff has been on YouTube, he’s talked about thousands upon thousands of recipes that he’s developed on his own or derived from his travels. Because there are so many to choose from, it’d be near impossible to decide which of those would land in our top 5. So, in this article, we’re only picking the recipes we think were delicious, easy to follow, easy to make, and healthy for our well-being in the long term. These recipes are also largely inexpensive and accessible in most markets.

These recipes all contain ingredients that are labeled as superfoods. As the name suggests, a superfood refers to food that is full of nutrients significant to the health of an individual. For example, ginger is a superfood because it has strong benefits like aiding in indigestion, reducing the risk of heart disease, and increasing our serotonin and dopamine levels. Meanwhile, salmon is regarded as a superfood because of its high levels of omega-3 fatty acids, which are beneficial to our heart and brain health. Other superfoods included in the ingredient lists of these recipes are broccoli, kale, and lean chicken, among others.

Bangus paksiw

Erwan’s take on bangus paksiw has him using bangus, ginger, garlic, cane vinegar, bay leaves, fish sauce, red onions, water, green peppers, and red bell pepper.

Chicken and squash ginataan

In this video, Erwan shows us how to stay healthy even while on a strict budget. Our favorite here is the chicken and squash ginataan recipe, which calls for ginger, garlic, onions, squash, green beans, chicken, and gata or coconut milk.

Fish and greens

All of the recipes shown in this video are fairly simple to make, but this fish and greens recipe is our favorite because his ideas manage to elevate a common household meal. Here, the recipe calls for frozen peas, kale, lemon, basa fillets, almond milk, olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Salmon with kamote squash hash browns and asparagus

In this video, Erwan elevates the dishes that his personal trainer eats on a normal day. Here, he proves that you don’t have to eat plain food when you’re on a strict diet for a fitness program. Of all the recipes shown, our favorite is the second meal, which consists of salmon, squash, asparagus, and more.

Lean chicken slider patties with sweet potato hash browns

This recipe video might be 10 years old, but it stands the test of time. This dish, again, elevates what we would perhaps normally eat at home—chicken and potatoes—but is made healthier and tastier with ingredients like cumin, celery, greek yogurt, and more.
