Uniqlo has been a Filipino favorite since it launched in the country years ago—and why wouldn’t it be? With its high quality and comfortable everyday wear, the Japanese brand is the true embodiment of fashion and function. And it’s no different with Uniqlo’s 2021 Fall/Winter collection with JW Anderson.
This isn’t Uniqlo’s first time working with designer Jonathan Anderson, but the collection definitely is different from their past collaborations. The new collection is all about embracing the countryside, with an appearance from a children’s book favorite, Peter Rabbit. “For me this collection was really about embracing the season,” Jonathan Anderson shared. “I wanted something that felt very autumnal in a way and that also felt quite like Autumn in the British countryside.”
The feeling of the cozy countryside comes in traditional tartans in an autumnal and winter color palette. Knit cardigans, quilted jackets, and fleece pullovers are also featured within the collection, as well as loungewear and home accessories like cushions and blankets. Famous children’s book characters Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny also star in the collection, in prints on unisex sweatshirts and tees.
“I wanted it to feel comfortable and worn. Almost cozy in a way.” Jonathan Anderson said. And this new collection is just that. Uniqlo’s 2021 Fall/Winter collection with JW Anderson will be available in the Philippines starting December 10.
