Victoria Velasquez Vincent, Bacoor
Exuding a feel of confidence that was sure yet so soft, Victoria’s walk was a light presence on stage that makes it all natural to her—no frills, no extra gestures. It’s just really her and her good walk. Her knowing smile was the icing on top of her sweet performance, a look of a queen that commands with warmth.
Chelsea Manalo, Bulacan
Miss Bulacan strutted the runway looking like a doll, certainly giving Barbie a run for her money. Chelsea’s poses, turns, and walks were free of worry and full of ease—a steady performance all throughout her time. Besides her practiced pasarela, her overall look that fit her color and personality also helped in uplifting her overall aura.
Stacey Gabriel, Cainta
Bold, bright, beautiful—this was Stacey Gabriel in her swimsuit element. Mastering the art of projection by playing with her stride’s tempo, the audience had the time to take her presence all in. We need a queen whose regality has a side of fun, and that could be Stacey in no time.
Maria Isabel Pelayo, Davao City
While others vye the personification of a modern, fierce woman in their pasarela, others thrive in the grace of a diwata. The waves of Maria Isabel’s mane moved with her grace on the runway, and her turn was a prelude to her final movements of ease into the runway. Indeed, Davao City’s contender captured what it meant to be a Filipina then and now—light in spirit, but steady in composure.
Alexie Brooks, Iloilo City
Don’t let Alexie’s leisure-like walk fool you. It’s not a pasarela borne out of overconfidence or complacency, but more of an invitation for us to walk with her in this journey. She also balanced her facial expressions by going in between fierce looks and pageant smiles. A combination of this and her strong, solid turns, she must be making Iloilo City smile with her acing the walk.
Raven Doctor, Palawan
There was something about the Miss Universe Philippines Preliminaries that transformed Raven from a young lady to an empowered woman on the outside. Fierce and forceful with her overall look that evening, Miss Palawan carried a feel of fierceness with graceful turns and a striking projection. Indeed, her pasarela was a proof that is the dark horse ready for a crown on top of her head during the finals night.
Cyrille Payumo, Pampanga
A walk gets its well-deserved justice when the legs are at full work, and Cyrille’s were for days that made her turns and projects on point. She had rhythm and pulse in her poses, achieving a walk that’s not easy to recall and remember about her performance.
Ahtisa Manalo, Quezon Province
Bring refined confidence from Quezon Province’s representative, Ahtisa’s walk was as refreshing as the waves by the shore—a crash with her striking hip movement; then giving a flow of turn as natural as the waves retreat back to the ocean. In 2018, she gave us a walk of air for the Miss International stage. This time around, she got our attention with her flowy pasarela as fluid as the water.
Jet Hammond, Southern California
Grace indeed in its pasarela form, Jet’s walk used her hips and arms to move through the runway with fierceness and sweetness at the same time.
Anita Rose Gomez, Zambales
Remember: One’s walk is never complete with a turn of confidence and the infectious curve of a smile. Luckily for Miss Zambales, these were things that she had in her walk on the runway.
