Pangako is a collection inspired by memories of his grandmother’s house. “I still remember the scent of Sampaguita flowers, the lace curtains, and the timeless charm of her vintage heirlooms,” he shares. The range relies on these features and reinterprets them for today’s women. The designs, spanning from translucent fabrics and Sampaguita appliqués to structured denim and flowing shapes, strike a balanced approach between nostalgia and contemporary life.
The theme of Pangako—a promise of homecoming and a commitment to the future—is also woven into the show’s setting. Held in his hometown of San Juan, the event signifies a full-circle moment for Losa, who always envisioned hosting a solo show there. The city hall’s minimalist white interiors, which he calls a “perfect blank canvas”, provide the backdrop for 42 looks that represent the brand’s evolution.
The designer explains, “It’s a celebration of my journey—honoring the past 15 years while looking ahead to what’s next.” Crafting the collection was a creative challenge, as Losa revisited his archives and experimented with new techniques. Collaborations with his creative team and a focus on sustainable materials played a key role in refining the designs.
Jot Losa envisions an immersive experience that encapsulates the character of his brand: a mix of contemplation and creativity steeped in Filipino culture. While he is committed to promoting legacy and craftsmanship, he also plans to broaden the brand’s international appeal.
