After two untelevised years, both the Golden Globes and red carpet glamour are back. As always, everyone’s eyes were on fashion and beauty, and the celebrities in attendance at the 81st Golden Globe Awards did not disappoint. Taking into consideration the makeup, nails, and hair departments, we rounded up the red carpet beauty looks we consider the best, along with the details that stood out.

Natasha Lyonne
Natasha Lyonne stunned in Schiaparelli, but it’s the synchronicity of her beauty details that put it all together. According to her makeup artist, James Kaliardos, her red carpet look is inspired by 60s Hollywood glamour, resulting in a tone-on-tone color scheme, extended eyeliner, and a graphic lash look. Hairstylist Vernon François was responsible for her resplendent cloud of curls, while Sreynin Peng coordinated her long nails with the gold of her jewelry.
Amanda Seyfried
The beauty details on Amanda Seyfried complemented her custom Giorgio Armani Privé ensemble perfectly. Chanel makeup artist Kate Lee gave her vampy smokey eyes and iridescent lips that matched the dress’ color scheme, while hairstylist Renato Campora arranged her tresses into a deep side part that fell in waves at her back. Meanwhile, Amanda delivered understated short and glossy nails on the red carpet—one of many female nominees to do so.

Florence Pugh
Florence Pugh changes up her red carpet beauty with a fauxhawk, an elaborately coiffed hairstyle that looks the part of a mohawk, which Adir Abergel put together. With hair as the star of the show, makeup artist Alex Babsky opted for neutral eyeshadow and rosy lips using Valentino Beauty products. To top it off, manicurist Dawn Sterling elevated Florence’s short nails with a glossy nude manicure and ruby accents on her ring fingers.

Rosamund Pike
Similarly, Rosamund Pike opted for neutral makeup and short natural nails to let her hair and accessories be the main protagonist. The standout details were, of course, the polished architectural updo courtesy of Davide Barbieri and the black veil by Philip Treacy. Her nails were kept bare and natural, while makeup artist Melanie Inglessis gave Rosamund a striking flush using Dior Beauty.
Elizabeth Olsen
Elizabeth Olsen’s red carpet appearances are few and far between, but her latest walk on the 81st Golden Globe Awards red carpet was an immediate fan favorite. The actress contrasted her all-white Vivienne Westwood ensemble with a subtly vampy eye makeup, bold red lips, and a matching cherry red manicure. These details carried the look as she opted for the stripped-down approach with pin-straight hair and barely-there makeup.
Greta Lee
Golden Globe nominee Greta Lee was the picture of old Hollywood on the red carpet. To achieve this look, makeup artist Naoko Sofia Patrizia Scintu used Sisley Paris products to accentuate the Past Lives star’s natural beauty by giving her dewy skin, flushed cheeks, and a touch of pink atop her lips. This classic look paired nicely with the romantic lob done up by hairstylist Jenny Cho and the naturally pigmented glossy nails that manicurist Jolene Brodeur gave her.

Jennifer Aniston
Forever etched in Golden Globes history is Jennifer Aniston’s haircut debut, which is a noticeably modern revival of her iconic “Rachel” hairstyle from the 90s. Kept tousled and just past her collarbones, her hairstyle was the key element to her red carpet look. For the makeup, she kept it simple yet striking with a pink lip, long lashes, and mocha nails.
Ariana Greenblatt
Dressed in Saint Laurent, Ariana Greenblatt wowed fans at the 81st Golden Globe Awards. Between the dramatic smoky eye, sultry nude lips, tousled hair, and elongated French manicure, she looked the part of a red carpet regular despite her young age.
Hunter Schafer
Between the whimsical gown and the no-makeup makeup look, model and actress Hunter Schafer was a feast for the eyes at the 2024 Golden Globes. Through her, a structural hairstyle made another appearance in the form of her ultra-polished double-chignon courtesy of Lacy Redway. Complementing every detail, Hunter’s glam team stuck with pale pink hues from her eyes to her lips, while her lashes and nails were kept natural with only a touch of product on top.
Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez, with a face full of Rare Beauty, delivered a noteworthy red carpet appearance. What particularly stood out to us were the brown smokey eye that makeup artist Melissa Murdick elongated outwards and the polished topknot by hairstylist Marissa Marino. Finally, to match the drama of her custom Giorgio Armani dress, manicurist Tom Bachik gave Selena a high-gloss black manicure.
