Last time, we talked about easy dressing for girls who aren’t very fond of summer. It’s only March and we have to make little adjustments to make being stylish in this heat just a bit more manageable. By this point in the season, you’ve probably utilized your summer wardrobe to the point of no return. Chances are, your summer essentials have gotten more than their fair share of exhibition on your Instagram feed. But before you retire them to the back of your closet until summer ends, hear us out as we highlight our favorite outfit combinations to make your wardrobe planning much easier.
Oversized top + Wide-leg pants
While a lot would prefer skin-baring pieces to wear everyday, some of us working professionals still constantly look for ways to amp up our workwear game and adapt it for the summer. Go for a light oversized top with a fabric that’s thin and airy, pair with your favorite wide-leg trousers and you’re all set for the office.
Denim jacket + Midi skirt + Heels
Ditch your utility and leather jackets and go to the lighter end of the outerwear spectrum with denim. Rather than just opting for regular trousers, try it with a textured, mid-slit midi skirt and a pair of booties or ankle strap heels.
One shoulder top + Jeans
The one shoulder top might be one of our most favorite summer pieces ever. Not only does it help cool off in the warmer weather but it’s also effortlessly chic. Match it with a pair of your favorite blue jeans and a pair of mid heels.
Bustier + White Blouse + Trousers
Taking it back to the classic trend, we’re still obsessed with this waist-cinching look. The beauty in incorporating a bustier over a white blouse is that it beautifully embellishes an ordinary piece. Try something different by doing an intentional unpolished look with billowy sleeves and tucking one side of the top in your trousers while the other is out and below the bustier for an asymmetrical illusion.
Dress + Jeans + White Boots
Get your summer dresses ready and your go-to pair of jeans as it’s the new street style-approved combo loved by fashion girls everywhere. Wear with low-heeled white boots for a casual ensemble that’s prepped and primed to take on the day.
