MEGA Fashion Awards 2024 celebrates the emerging stylists calling the sartorial shots behind every show or editorial and dressing fashion-forward celebrities and personalities

The work of a stylist is more complex than anyone could possibly anticipate. The job does not simply include sourcing the right outfit for award ceremonies or pairing the right shoes with the right bag for the red carpet. Rather, it’s an art form of image control and visual branding. The styling can easily make or break the public’s perception of any given star or figure. As part of the “image architects” of their clientele, the work of the stylists is a fashion moment deserving of recognition. Here are the nominees for MEGA Fashion Awards (MFA) The Next Stylist.

Paul Sese

MEGA Fashion Awards The Next Stylist Paul Sese

While Paul Sese has dressed multiple red carpet stars, one client is all it takes to see his distinct styling talent: drag icon Marina Summers. Textural drapery, crushed asymmetric butterfly sleeves, metals and chains in a futuristic suit— Paul Sese is sticking to no aesthetic beyond “show-stopping”; his clients’ looks range from sweeping dresses to structured suits in different colors and patterns. The stylist’s belief? What’s the point of a look that doesn’t halt a room or start a conversation?

Sese has styled Marina Summers for MEGA’s April 2024 fashion feature, Paolo Ballesteros, Drag Race Philippines‘ host slash judge for MEGA Drag’s 2022 story, and MEGA Man’s June 2022 cover starring Director Laurenti Dyogi among others.
