These are the latest fashion trends in the fitness community that we’re taking home to our activewear collections
Trends, as they say, are cyclical. While some may replace another for a time, some trends are never truly gone for good. The same can be said for athleisure wherein some of the latest fashion trends are also reflected. This season, we see many old silhouettes returning in the fitness community’s rotation, so we’re listing down the top five we can’t stay away from either.
From bodysuits to unitards, one-pieces are great additions to your activewear collection. With skin tone onesies, you can evoke balletcore as you hit the gym. Even if that particular aesthetic is not your cup of tea, onesies have proven to be the go-to choice for girls on-the-go when it comes to effortless, comfortable, and functional attire.
It’s a yoga pant renaissance. Similar to how bell-bottom jeans are all the rage now, flared leggings are, too. While they won’t totally replace ankle leggings, flare bottoms with low waists are especially popular among the younger generation who are revitalizing the Y2K aesthetic with a fresh spin.
We’re a big believer in sports skirts. These let you transition from the gym to the mall pretty easily given their versatility. Beyond the style aspect, these are perfectly functional, too, and a mainstay for the girls who fully embrace the active lifestyle.
On the other hand, tracksuits are the top choice for those who prefer a little more coverage as they exercise. With blokecore on the rise, mixing and matching differently-styled track tops and trousers has also become a favorite for some fitness enthusiasts and influencers, whether as part of their gym attire or simply as athleisure.
Heritage sports style
The 70s and 80s are back in a big way with heritage sports styles. You can see this reflected as well in the hype for tennis skirts, flared leggings, and tracksuits. Now, combine a seamless skirt or pants with a polo shirt and tasteful white sneakers, and you’re all set for the golf course, tennis court, and more.
