As July is coming to an end, let’s get back on the top five fashion trends we had in the first half of the year
For fashion, the first half of 2023 was quite the rollercoaster because of its many opposite styles. However, each one made their presence known in the fashion scene, and we are listing down the top five trends from January to June that we know everyone will still enjoy until the eve of 2024.

Rosettes
Taking the top place is none other than rosettes. This dainty applique was seen on runways, carpets, and even casual wear since people started pinning them in their ensembles. We’re giving the credit to its ability to either look charmingly sweet or alluringly chic, depending on how you style it.
Barbiecore
Ever since the news of the live action film was announced, the love towards bright pink outfits has been greater than ever. Whether it’s an empowering pink suit or a Y2K-inspired outfit that consists of tank tops and mini skirts, this Barbie pink stayed for a long time during the first half of the year—and it’s not stopping any time soon.
Quiet Luxury
To balance out the ditziness of Barbie, the sleek and minimalist aesthetic of quiet luxury made a lot of noise. Suddenly, people started to wear tailored blazers and straight-cut trousers for everyday outfits, which is the epitome of minimalist chic.
Casual lingerie
It’s one of the daring trends we have seen out and about the city, and we applaud those who wear lingerie with confidence. We see this in a more appropriate style since they are often paired with simple maxi skirts or slightly covered up with a cardigan.
Sportscore
We’re pointing our fingers towards the top three sports that have been trending since last year, and these are equestrian, golf, and tennis. It’s the pleated skirt they wear for tennis, visor hats for golf, and the riding boots used for equestrian—the three key pieces we’ve seen streamlined in mainstream culture.
